Eligibility
Be based in Australia, or
Be proposing to use the funds for the benefit of First Nations people living in Australia
Be a majority First Nations owned/operated business
Be a majority First Nations owned/operated community organisation
What We Do Fund
Operating costs
Seed or start-up funding
Professional Memberships/Joining Fees
Professional/Outsourced Resources -
ie Website Development; Business/ Financial Advice
School Provisions -
ie books, stationary, etc
Training/Coaching -
ie Specialised Equipment Training; Strategic/Governance Planning
Training Related Travel Expenses -
ie Travel; Accommodation; other travel related expenses
What We Don't Fund
Activities purchased through direct selling (ie party plan, network marketing)
Catering
Delivery, credit card and transaction fees
Equipment or services that will benefit an individual
Events/workshops where the event date occurs before funding approval
Facility improvements to any community title, body corporate or retirement living scheme or similar entity (as determined by us)
Franchise fees
Gifts or Prizes
GST, Registration and Fees
Items purchased prior to approval
Money to be set aside for contingencies or costs not yet incurred
Prepaid or store cards
Repayment of debts and loans
Vehicle costs
Vouchers
Application Process

Applications will be assessed to determine their eligibility and alignment with the Foundation's priorities, mission and values.

​All eligible applications will be forwarded for review by the Foundation's board. The board meets four times a year.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application

Successful applicants will receive a funding agreement outlining terms and conditions, reporting requirements, and may include information about site visits, audits, or other evaluations processes.

Unsuccessful applicants will be contacted with feedback on their application and offered further assistance​
